Marketing Tips: One Way to Give Yourself a Break!

As a busy entrepreneur one thing is certain: You're busy, you're stressed and you're sometimes overwhelmed. The last thing you have time for this week is sitting down to write an informative and perfectly edited ezine article. Yet you want to keep in touch with your customers and cannot afford not to write one.

Writing an ezine that not only gets opened but read and even passed on to others isn’t always easy. It can be frustrating to set good goals only to not be able to carry them out due to time-constraints and good old fashioned writer’s block. Yet getting the time to put one together can be daunting.

Tips to the rescue! Think about it…when was the last time you sat and read every word of a long email or ezine? You probably skimmed it for key points and got what you could out of it without actually reading every perfectly-chosen word. Who has the time? Even if it was something that spoke to you, you may have saved it for later vs. reading it right then. It may be still sitting and waiting for you to read it.

One of the best solutions for a time-crunched connection is to write a quick tips article. Everyone loves simple and good tips! They are brief, fun and usually a breeze to read through. Another benefit: Tips are perfect for flow. They keep the eye reading (due to lots of white space) and can carry the reader to other sections of a newsletter or ezine (like your products and recommendations). They make it easy for the reader to gather information and move throughout your topics.

The web is loaded with great tips, so you can choose your topic and cherry-pick the best for your particular publication. You can have short tips or long tips articles, but just keep in mind that more than 10 usually gets monotonous for the reader. If you set a goal of doing at least one tips-dedicated issue per month, it should ease the burden of writing for you (and they are pretty fun to do!).

Tips for Finding Tips:

-Decide on your topic

-Do a search and compile two or three from various lists for your own custom list

-Add any additional that you feel need to be stated

-Keep it simple, short and flowing

-Do it monthly to help ease the burden of writing the perfect article

Everything You Should Know Publishing Package for Wanna Be Top Selling Authors

I got the package and I'm making my way through the videos. My thoughts thus far: 1. Lots of info! I got the Platinum package and so far I'm impressed with the amount of info. 2. As usual, there's sales info for other packages, but so far I've gotten a good amount just from this without buying more (which I'm not apt to do.) 3. Seriously, Mike Koenigs...don't give advice on dressing right now. Your way-too-big blue shirt didn't make you look like a pro; it just made you look silly. If this is the strategy behind "dressing for the everyman" that you take, it seems really, really dumbed down. I think we can all handle you in a well-fitting shirt. (See video #2 for this.) 4. On a good note, Mike: You're a good speaker and easy to listen to. I like the message. Goes double for Arielle. Wish I could still hire Arielle Ford as publicist (could I even afford her?). She knows the biz. Unfortunately (see previous posting), the biz changed...

Read our interview with Natalie Tini, a young prolific author Her new book is Sewing a Friendship So, Natalie, you're a young author! Is this something you want to do when you grow up? >> I think so. I believe that writing is one of my talents. I wrote and illustrated 12 books and I am working on another 5 new books right now. What is your book about? >> My first book is about four friends and a rival. Each has a specialty. Sokron is a visual artist, Meeka loves numbers and math problems, Nina is sensitive to sound and music and Jonsy is sensitive to feelings. They decided to have a PINK SLEEPOVER to celebrate the end of school year. Meeka came up with the idea that the four of them should go to the park first. Once at the park, they met Kiki Shaver who was known as the meanest girl on the planet. Later on, they found an invitation for the fashion show; however, the rules indicated there must be five people on a team and one model from each team must be...
